Can Georgia win? Yes, but it will be unusual for Alabama to lose to a team like them. During Saban’s time as head coach, Alabama has consistently struggled against dual-threat quarterbacks that can make as many great plays with their feet as with their legs. Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel, Nick Marshall and Deshaun Watson make up many of the very few losses Saban has had in the past decade, and unfortunately for Georgia, Jake Fromm does not fit this bill. Fromm has shown incredible poise in leading Georgia to the title game as a freshman, but this is the sort of team Alabama beats up on every week of the season. Georgia relies on a dominant running game and stout defense, something that head coach Kirby Smart clearly learned from his time at Alabama. That style may work against the Big12 or Pac12, the Crimson Tide are made to handle a team like Georgia.
